Find the local businesses that are invisible on Google Maps, and show them exactly where they stand
Maps Gap checks where every business ranks on Google Maps for a search, at 49 points across a town, and picks out the established businesses that most customers nearby never see. You get a ranked list of prospects, a short pitch for each one, and a branded report you can send them.
How it works
- Choose a town and a search. For example "roofers" in Reading, or "restaurante" in Arona. Any country, in the language your customers search in.
- We check 49 points. A grid of 7 by 7 points, 1 km apart, covering about 6 km by 6 km. At each point we record the top 100 Google Maps results, just as a customer standing there would see them.
- Every business is scored. Each business is sorted into Prospects, Flagged or Not a prospect, based on how visible it is across the area and on its Google Business Profile (reviews, photos, opening hours and whether it is claimed).
- You get the evidence. For each prospect: where it ranks at every point, a short pitch paragraph built from its own results, and a branded report with a map of its rankings that you can send it.
What a prospect looks like
A real business with a real reputation that most local customers never see: strong in one corner of town and invisible in the rest, or close to the top 20 but not in it. Google shows 20 businesses on a phone, so a business ranked 21st or lower is effectively invisible to mobile searchers. These are the businesses that most need help with their Google Business Profile, and they are the easiest conversation for an agency to start. Various other weighted criteria are included in our scoring engine.
